The Jolly Postman

Mrs Turner's class have enjoyed finding out all about the fairy tale characters in 'The Jolly Postman' book.

The children took part in a 'Jolly Postman Class Assembly' which involved the children singing songs about 'The Three Little Pigs', 'The Big Bad Wolf'' and 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. Year 1 retold the story 'The Three Little Pigs' using lots of different actions to help them remember all of the words.

The children also shared their journeys and maps they made when they posted their letters at the local post office in Ramleaze.

Finally all the children's parents enjoyed a cup of tea and a fairy cake back in their child's classroom where they saw all of the photos of Year one's trip to the local shops.
