Work Examples | Year TwoXylophones, and Hand Bells
Mrs Bickell's class performed their class assembly on Friday 23 May. The assembly was based on the Year 2 topic about music. Throughout the assembly the children used musical instruments to demonstrate musical skills, such as duration, pitch and rhythm. Xylophones, hand bells and the children's own singing voices were just some of the musical instruments used during the assembly.
The children also delighted in showing their work and dances in response to different genres of music. They had a fabulous time showing their parents what they had learned. Theme Week Year TwoDuring Year 2's theme week we investigated our local park. On the Monday, we went to the park at the end of Cartwright Drive.
We had some photographic clues of the playground equipment which we had to find.
We then spent the rest of the week deciding on improvements that we wanted to make and designing and making our own play park. We used our park to create a storyboard of pictures. We then wrote our own stories.
